Pippa Middleton, currently the most eligible girl in the world, nearly stole the spotlight at Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding in her ivory Alexander McQueen maid-of-honor dress. She looked slim and oh-so-stunning in the cowl-neck dress, which she wore with white Jimmy Choos, floral diamond earrings her mother designed, and fresh lily of the valley flowers on her hair. The dress has really been around for over a year now; in fact, Cameron Diaz wore the red version at the 2010 Golden Globes award. But, Pippa Middleton’s dress looks a small softer, thanks to the lace edge on the cap sleeves, and she requested Sarah Burton’s design team to add the row of silk-covered buttons that traveled down her spine.

I predict that Pippa Middleton’s dress, not Kate’s, will probably be the most knocked-off wedding dress this year. Kate Middleton’s wedding dress was gorgeous and well-crafted, but everyone has been wearing long-sleeved lace wedding dress for years; it’s nothing new. Pippa’s dress, on the other hand, is modern, sleek, and ultra-flattering. Even though it was designed to be a maid-of-honor dress, it looks like many brides-to-be wouldn’t mind walking down the aisle in something similar.
